|lyle_snyder||01:54 pm - Hey folks...|
Hey y'all. I hope all is well out there in the last months of our learning experiences. This last week was a little busy. I took a week of "emergency leave" to go home for my Grandma's Funeral. It was a great experience to be with my family after her death, during her funeral, etc. On behalf of my family I gave the family tribute at her funeral. I will post it on my sermon blog soon. But in the meantime, I did post a small tribute to her on my blog. http://lylesthirdyear.blogspot.com/
The prayer requests I would like to shout out are 1) Prayers for my family - it wasn't easy for them to say goodbye to Grandma Irene. 2) Prayers of Thanksgiving - thank God for Grandma Irene! She was a living testament to the Gospel, and a gift from God.
Keep on rockin', and hold on to your sanity this Holy Week.
All of God's abundant blessings.
Current Mood: cheerful
Current Music: A lawnmower outside (it must be spring!)
hi lyle!! good to hear from you, though i'm sorry about your grandma. it sounds like she was a beautiful person, though. isn't it amazing, the gifts god gives us through our families? when my uncle died while i was in college, i was very struck at how much he was a witness of God's love for me and others. i didn't realize it when he was alive. he's been an inspiration for me since. it's good to know that we share connections with people through our faith, even after they die.
anyway, i will pray for your family and thank god for your grandma. i'm sure she's very proud of you! tell emily hello and i can't wait to see you both!
in god's peace, love, and hope,

I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss of Grandma Irene. It sucks when grandparents &/or family members die. I'm sure she'd be happy to hear how much she meant to you.
You and your family are in my prayers.
Sincerely, in the light, love, hope and promise of Christ,
Heidi and Rebecca - thank you both very much for your well wishings of hope and love, and your prayers - they mean a lot!
